無助詞（ゼロ助詞）. A *zero particle* is a hypothetical particle which has no phonetic realization and is not usually written down. This may refer to an omitted particle, or it may refer to a distinct particle that has no overt representation.

Obligatory zero particle
Sometimes, particles are omitted.
