Where do you place the counter in Japanese when you want to specify how many of something there are, especially if you're listing multiple things?
I believe the counter usually goes after the particle associated with the noun:

what is the proper way to use 一冊?
For example when I say
彼は本を一冊持っています
vs
彼は一冊の本を持っています
Which is more natural?. the first one seems more correct to me but I don't really know why or...maybe I'm wrong.

What does the grammar "noun が noun、verb" mean?
In a game I am playing, I ran across the sentence,
"ひらりと白い[欠片]{かけら}がひとひら、舞い込んできた。"
It appears that both 欠片 and ひとひら are nouns. After this, there is no particle before the verb. What type of grammar structure is this?
