I'm relatively new to epidemiological methods.
I'm trying to assess a program where I have access to administrative data that can be put into a case-crossover study design. I'm trying to assess the financial effectiveness of the program, and came across the concept of number needed to treat.
Based on the studies I've come across though, I haven't seen any mention how to calculate the absolute risk reduction (ARR) which is needed to calculate NNT, here and here
Anyone know how I might go about calculating this measure? Or is there another measure that is used to assess cost-effectiveness with this type of study design?
