今ごろ in more concrete situations
My understanding of 今ごろ has been that it is usually used in a more abstract, subjunctive-ish sense, like:
彼は今ごろ眠っているだろう
明日の今ごろはロスにいるはずだ
And in most "concrete" places, it is ungrammatical, like:

What is the tense agreement rule in comparative/subjunctive sentences?
Does tense of the verbs matter in the comparison part of the sentence? As I understand the main difference should come from the main verb/adjective.

Nuance of using 仕事しなかったら or 仕事しなければ in this simple sentence?
