Hermann Hesse

Hermann Karl Hesse (2 Julai 1877  - 9 Ogos 1962) ialah seorang penyair, novelis dan pelukis kelahiran Jerman. Antara karya-karyanya yang terkenal ialah Demian, Steppenwolf, Siddhartha, dan The Glass Bead Game, yang masing-masing meneroka pencarian individu untuk keaslian, pengetahuan diri dan kerohanian. Pada tahun 1946, beliau menerima Hadiah Nobel dalam Kesusasteraan.[1]
