Political Science PhD student.

I have three research interests.

1. Political theory and behavior related forms of political representation and accountability. This includes representation related to identity, as well as evaluating complex processes of representation that occur informally in civil society that occur in the following interest.
2. Participatory democracy. I'm building a data set of participatory institutions in Brazil, which are meticulously tracked by the federal government. I want to know how these institutions become strong and when they are effective in promoting development and well being.
3. Democratic deliberation. I study new deliberative democratic institutions, as well as the quality of political deliberation in existing institutions like legislatures.
