currently writing up my report for my uni project and I am unsure if I can accept my hypothesis?
My hypothesis is that A and X will have an impact on Y.
I have carried out a multiple regression analysis. I have 4 IV’s, A,B,C and D (for ease of explanation) A stands alone and B,C,D are sub-scales to X . The model as a whole appears to be significant p < .001. However, individually the only IV to appear significant is A. B,C,D are not significant p > .o5.
Does this mean that I cannot accept my hypothesis, or is it possible to partially accept a hypothesis??
Any help would be amazing, going round in circles here.
