Is there a useful interpretation of variance as a special case of covariance, Var(X) = Cov(X,X)?

2What do you mean by "useful"? Given the equality, however useful $Var(X)$ is, then $Cov(X,X)$ is just as useful. And obviously same vice versa. Are you asking about how the "intuitions" for variance of $X$ and covariance between $X$ and $X$ align in this case? – doubled Mar 27 '21 at 21:38

@doubled I am looking for how the intuitions align yes, thanks – T. Klf Mar 28 '21 at 16:06
