Can someone with close to zero knowledge of higher mathematics understand Godel's Theorems or does he first have to learn some mathematics? If the answer to the first part of the question above is yes, how can I do so? Ideally, I would like to understand Godel's original paper.

"to understand Godel's original paper" needs a huge amount of mathematics. The resources discussed in the linked post are more accessible. – Mauro ALLEGRANZA Mar 21 '23 at 10:28

Ok, then tell me the huge amount of mathematics that is required and I'll consider studying it. – user56417 Mar 21 '23 at 17:47

The linked posts have many details, reference to textbooks included. Starting with Smith's Introduction as well as Franzen's and Berto's books can give you all the needed information in order to understand GIT. – Mauro ALLEGRANZA Mar 22 '23 at 16:23
