Stardew Valley is a farming game developed by ConcernedApe and published by Chucklefish. It was first released for PC on February 26, 2016.
The plot of the game involves the players moving away from a "white collar" life of working at Joja Corporation to a "red collar" life of farming in Stardew Valley. Players receive the deed to their grandfathers farm in a letter that was given to the player in the very beginning of the game. The player holds onto the letter for some time as the grandfather tells the player only to open it when they decided that they need change in their life. Later, the player decides they have had enough working for Joja Corp, and opens the letter to find out about their inheritance and moves to Stardew Valley.
While on the farm, players can crow crops to harvest and sell for gold. You can use the gold earned to purchase more crops, upgrades for your house, farm, and tools, and general supplies. Players can also explore a nearby mine shaft where you can discover gems and fight enemies, participate in Pelican Town events, and build relationships with other NPCs.
In 2018, a four player cooperative mode was added to the game.
