Is there a particular name for categorizing board games that have some kinetics? Some of the examples are Fireball Island (monster throwing fireballs), Monopoly Jackpot (push button spinner) etc.

These are commonly called "dexterity" games.

Flicking mechanism and Action / Dexterity category.

enter image description here enter image description here

The mechanism your referring is called: Flicking

Description: A Physical Action needs to be performed by one or more players to determine the outcome of the action.

The highest rated board game that use kinetics is Crokinole.

A second option to group those games is Category: Action / Dexterity.

Description: players compete in physical reflexes and co-ordination
