'Text-input' refers to the methods used on Android to enter text, which includes keyboard input as well as voice input.

Text input on Android is not restricted to keyboards. There are a lot of input methods available: True, keyboards register as such. But so does voice-input, and so can e.g. several barcode readers. There might be even more, and the future may even add input methods we currently do not think of.
