Urticaceae ialah suatu keluarga tumbuhan berbunga merangkumi pelbagai jenis spesies yang umum disebutkan dengan nama "jelatang" termasuk jelatang gajah, jelatang ayam dan jelatang Inggeris. Tumbuhan-tumbuhan dalam spesies ini berkongsi sifat dedaun yang mampu menyebabkan kerengsaan apabila disentuh.

Sebanyak kira-kira 2,625 spesies didapati terhimpun dalam 53 atau 54 genus.[2] Genus-genus ini termasuk Pilea (500 hingga 715 spesies), Elatostema (300 spesies), Urtica (80 spesies) dan Cecropia (75 spesies).
